Summary
Superior Construction requires an apprentice carpenter to help construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This includes framing, cabinetry, flooring, and trim work. You may work on residential, commercial, or industrial projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
Main Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
Qualifications
- Completion of a three to four-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over four years of work experience in the trade
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Strong desire to learn
Education
- Completion of secondary school
- Trade certification (Red Seal endorsement)

- 1 – 2 years
